Two surrender after murdering two transgenders
HYDERABAD: Two transgenders were intercepted and murdered while going on a bike at Daibagh road, Tappachabutra, in the early hours of Wednesday. The accused Syed Inayat and Mohammed Inayath waylaid the victims and smashed their heads with boulders and surrendered before the police, later in the day.
Reliable police sources said that the accused, who were following the victims Mohammed Riyaz alias Sofia, 27, and Syed Yousuf alias Dolly, 26, waylaid their bike around 1.20 am at an isolated place in Daibagh. One of them removed the bike ignition keys, while the other smashed their heads and stabbed them. After making sure that the victims had died, the unidentified assailants fled with one of them dropping a dagger used in the murder, DCP Kiran Khare said.
The victims, residents of Hari Dargah, Jirrah, were returning home after meeting one of their friends when they were murdered, sources said.
Dolly and Syed Inayat were in love for the past six months. But he developed a grudge against Dolly after she refused to marry him and decided to eliminate her, police said.
Tappachabutra police have registered a case of murder against the accused and seized the murder weapons, their blood stained clothes from their possession.
