Loose Internet cables on road cause biker's death in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Alleged negligence of Act Fibernet, a broadband service provider claimed the life of a fruit vendor at Chaitanyapuri of Rachakonda Commissionerate in the city on Monday. Loose broadband cables of the agency fell on the road, coming in the path of the victim, who was on a bike, resulting in an accident and killing him on the spot. The victim is identified as B Chandrakanth, 29, a resident of Kokapet.

SHO Chaitanyapuri B Nagarjuna said a case of causing death due to negligence (304A IPC) has been registered against Act Fibernet and investigation has been taken up.

According to police, Chandrakanth was on his way to work on his bike. While riding through Maruti Nagar area, the cables fallen on the road, came in his path. The bike got stuck in the cables and went out of control.

Chandrakanth fell off the bike, received a severe head injury and died on the spot. Further investigation is under process, the police said.
