Hyderabad: Class 10th boy on way home kidnapped

Police teams are searching for the people involved in the kidnapping.

Hyderabad: A Class X student from Shadnagar was allegedly kidnapped by a group of unidentified persons on Wednesday and found at Bahadurpura in the city on Thursday. 

Police teams are searching for the people involved in the kidnapping.

The student, 15-year-old B. Kaushik Goud, studies in Class X in Tagore High School in Shadnagar. His father B. Venkatesh Goud is a private teacher. The family has been living in Shadnagar for the last 20 years.

On Wednesday night, when Kaushik was returning from tuitions at around 8.30 pm, four unidentified persons travelling in an SUV intercepted him and asked for his home address. 

Kaushik told them and was dragged inside the car which then zoomed off. His friends immediately informed his father, who lodged a complaint with the police.

Shadnagar sub-inspector P. Vijay Bhaskar said, “The boy was confined to a room on Wednesday night and was abandoned at Bahadurpura in Hyderabad on Thursday morning. With help of a passerby, he called his father and informed about his whereabouts. He was rescued and handed over to his family.”
