Anantapur: Man gets life imprisonment for killing wife

ANANTAPUR: District Sessions Court on Wednesday sentenced life term imprisonment to Chintakayala Ramakrishna over killing his wife. According to sources, Ramakrishna married Adi Lakshmi seven years ago. He was addicted to alcohol and was quarrelling with his wife every day.

In an intoxicated state, he beat his wife with a stick on February 2, 2015 and she died on the spot due to serious injuries.  However, Ramakrishna informed his brother-in-law Mallikarjuna that Adi Lakshmi died due to illness.  Family members of the deceased suspected foul play and police registered a case under section IPC 302 after he confessed crime. The Sessions Judge Sasidhar Reddy sentenced life term imprisonment to him.
