Carpenter arrested for killing his wife
Carpenter confesses to murdering wife amid escalating disputes fueled by suspicions of an affair.
Hyderabad: Miyapur police arrested Kammari Rajesh, a carpenter, on charges of killing his wife Rajeshwari as she suspected his fidelity to her, police said.
Initially, police registered a missing case against her, but later picked up Rajesh for questioning, as his mother-in-law Swaroopa suspected foul-play and held him responsible for her daughter’s death.
During questioning, Rajesh admitted killing his wife. He said that she used to quarrel with him, especially in the last few months, whenever he was on phone, accusing him of speaking to some woman.
To get away from her torture, he decided to kill her. As per the plan, on December 10, he took his wife with him, saying that they are going to a function near Gandimaisamma. But he took her to an isolated place near Bowrampet and smashed her with a boulder.
Rajesh has been sent to judicial remand, said P. Narsimha Rao, ACP Miyapur division.
Rajeshwari’s decomposed body was also traced and handed over to the family after a PME.
