Talasani Srinivas Yadav's brother booked, bar shut

A police team lead by north zone deputy commissoner of police N. Prakash Reddy raided and shut down the establishment on Sunday night.

Hyderabad: Telangana minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s brother Shankar Yadav was booked for running his bar beyond the permissible time and for selling liquor outside it like a wine shop.  

A police team lead by north zone deputy commissoner of police N. Prakash Reddy raided and shut down the establishment on Sunday night.

As per law the liquor sold in a bar has to be consumed inside by customers. The bar owners are not allowed to sell liquor to people who want to consume it outside.  According to the City Police Act the bar should close by 11 pm.

However, Mr Shankar Yadav’s Shiva Bar located near the Secunderabad Railway Station was kept open till 12.30 at night and the counter was selling liquor to people and allowing them to take it away.

“A  case has been booked against the owner for selling liquor take aways and for keeping open the establishment after the stipulated closing hour,”  said a senior police official from the Market police station.
