Man from Telangana dies in Oman
Bhanu Chander died when a Oman police officer reportedly hit him with his private vehicle.
Hyderabad: Gottimukkala Bhanu Chandar, 23, a graduate hailing from Rajanna Siricilla district had gone to Salahah in Oman for taking up a job and was working with OIG (Oman International Group), a facility management company.
Bhanu who was working as a cleaner in the firm died a few days ago in an accident. Bhanu Chander died when a police officer reportedly hit him with his private vehicle.
It is learned that the police officer who was involved in the accident has filed a case of suicide though details are unknown. Bhanu’s body is kept at the Sohar Hospital.
Bheem Reddy Mandha, president, Coalition of Overseas Telangana Associ-ations uploaded the grievance on MADAD (Consular Services Management System) and tweeted to the Indian Embassy in Muscat MADAD details and the embassy responded quickly.
Kadarla Ranjith Kumar, President, Telangana Emigrants Labour Union (TELU) said, “We request to repatriate the remains at the earliest”. Incidentally, Telangana NRI minister KT Rama Rao represents the Siricilla Assembly constituency under which Bhanu Chandar’s village Gam-bhiraopet village comes.
