KPCC president M M Hassan seeks detailed probe into drowning

Thiruvananthapuram: The drowning of a youth in the swimming pool at Pirappancode has triggered a row with KPCC president M. M. Hassan alleging lackadaisical approach of lifeguards and demanding a detailed probe into the incident.

A 23-year-old youth, Sreejith of Vembayam, was found dead in the pool on Tuesday.  He was undergoing swimming training in the pool. The body was subjected to post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death. Prima faice it was a case of drowning following seizure. A case of unnatural death was registered, said police.
