Drunk-Driving: 519 cases filed
Eight driving licenses were permanently cancelled, 33 were suspended for varying durations of three years, one year and three months.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police registered 519 cases against people caught during the drunk-driving operations between April 16 and 20. The violators appeared in the Metropolitan magistrates’ court in Nampally, which awarded imprisonment to 95 people and cancelled/suspended licenses of 41 of them. Eight driving licenses were permanently cancelled, 33 were suspended for varying durations of three years, one year and three months. The department collected fines of Rs 11.1 lakh from the violators.
