Trimulgherry killer claimed to have worked at old age home
Arun is accused in the murder of a 70-year-old woman, Sulochana Rani, at her home in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: Trimulgherry police on Monday served notices to Sudha Home Care Services, Boduppal, for not verifying the antecedents of one A. Arun who it employed as a caretaker. Arun is accused in the murder of a 70-year-old woman, Sulochana Rani, at her home in Hyderabad. He is wanted in another murder case as well.
Police said Arun had not even provided his photograph to Sudha Home Care. He only mentioned his name, contact number and permanent address while filing details, but did not give his local address and his qualification, though he mentioned he completed BA.
Investigating officials found that Arun had murdered an autorickshaw driver and driven away with the vehicle in 2016 in Armoor in Nizamabad. He is also an accused in an extortion and assault case at Nizamabad.
Police seized the documents Arun submitted to Sudha Home Care before he was hired on May 7. In both cases, he had secured bail and had not appeared before court. Non-bailable warrants in the two cases are pending against him.
A Sudha Home official said Arun was deputed to the care of Mr Kantha Rao immediately after he was appointed, due to which they could not collect his details. “His employer had not verified before appointing him, which amounts to a violation and notices have been served to them. Teams are hunting for Arun and he will be nabbed soon,” an officer said.
Mr Sudhakar, owner of Sudha Home Care Services, said, “Immediately after he was appointed, he was sent to Trimulgherry, due to which we could not collect details.”
