Man morphs N Chandrababu Naidu's pictures, booked

Basavaraju had uploaded morphed pictures of Mr Naidu, replacing the face with those of thieves, beggars and those who harass women.

TIRUPATI: The Chittoor district police on Sunday lodged an FIR on one Basava-raju of Kaliganooru of Santipuram mandal, for uploading morphed pictures of Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The case was registered in Gudipalli police station in Kuppam constituency. Basavaraju had uploaded morphed pictures of Mr Naidu, replacing the face with those of thieves, beggars and those who harass women. The pictures showed people beating up Mr Naidu for not fulfilling his election promises.

Basavaraju had also had posted a picture of  YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mr Naidu, comparing their stand on defectors, with reference to the resignation as MLC of Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy after his defection to the Opposition party. The FIR was filed under IPC Section 355 (assault or criminal force to insult a person), 469 (forgery to harm reputation) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation). A police official said the FIR was lodged late on Sunday and notice had been served on Basavaraju.
