Hyderabad: The police nabbed a five-member burglary gang, including two juveniles, who were involved in six burglaries and a bike theft. Police seized 40 tola gold, silver articles and four bikes used for committing the offences and six mobile phones from them. The arrested persons are Mohammed Mehdi, Hassan Bin Afsar Bahazaq, Mohammed Ali and two 17-year-old boys.

Additional DCP N. Koti Reddy said that Mehdi, Hassan and the two juveniles were friends. As his income was not sufficient, Mehdi hatched a plan for thefts. He shared his plan with Hassan and his juvenile friends.

As per their plan they identified locked houses. “They used iron rods to break the locks. Mehdi and Hassan would enter the house and steal while the boys kept a watch outside the house,” the additional DCP said.
