Hyderabad: Delhi duo nabbed for cheating
The duo used to call job seekers and offer them jobs with Jet Airways as a ground staff or as member of the cabin crew.
Hyderabad: The CCS police arrested two Delhi natives for allegedly cheating a city youth after promising him a job with the ground handling section of Jet Airways at the Shamshabad airport.
The duo cheated the victim of Rs 1.1 lakh. Police identified the arrested persons as Vijay Maan, 25, of Delhi and Abhishek Singh, 20, manager at E Media Web Technologies of Prem Vihar, Ghaziabad.
They used to call job seekers and offer them jobs with Jet Airways as a ground staff or as member of the cabin crew, police said. Once the person was convinced, they would ask for Rs. 1,800 as registration fee and then Rs. 40,000 for an online test.
They would declare the victim passed, and seek another Rs. 40,000 for issuing appointment letter and so on. The money was paid to various bank accounts. Upon receiving complaints, the police tracked the duo using the bank accounts numbers. Police seized debit cards, mobile phones and cash from them.
