Bengaluru: Man held for house break thefts, gold worth Rs 13L, a bike recovered
The accused has been identified as Kartik alias Escape Kartik (30), a resident of Kalyan Nagar in Hennur.
Bengaluru: Kothanur police have arrested a notorious house break theft offender, who was involved in several theft cases in Sampige Halli and Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits.
The accused has been identified as Kartik alias Escape Kartik (30), a resident of Kalyan Nagar in Hennur.
Following numerous complaints of house break thefts, the police formed a team to nab the culprit. They received credible information about Kartik and arrested him.
During the investigation, police found that Kartik used to target locked houses after conducting a recce of the area. The police have recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 13 lakh and a bike from him.
The police also found that Kartik was also involved in an assault case. He along with seven of his relatives had on March 6 assaulted his relative Jayaram and another person with lethal weapons over a property dispute. The police have registered a case in this regard.
