Hyderabad: Man who killed wife arrested

The accused also tried to commit suicide by hanging himself but however, was stopped.

Accused Pulak Borah

Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police arrested a man named Pulak Borah, 40 years, who was allegedly involved in the murder of his wife on Saturday at his rented house at Babul Reddy Nagar.

"The victim Tutu Bohra was the second wife of the accused Pulak Bohra and was married to him since 2010. The victim had drinking habits. She used to consume alcohol, leave the house and go away in a drunken state without informing the accused. She used to return after two-three days at her own will and used to quarrel with her husband" said P. Jagdeshwar, Inspector of Police Mailardevpally.

He further added, “On 21st April 2018, the victim left home in the early morning hours and returned home at 11 am. After returning she picked up a fight with the accused. This outraged the accused and he hit the head of the victim against the wall and then on the ground and kicked her. The victim thus, succumbed to the injuries she sustained.”

The accused also tried to commit suicide by hanging himself but however, was stopped. The accused has been sent to Judicial remand and sections pertaining to murder were booked by the police.
