Hyderabad: 3 held for cheating Engineering student, under job fraud case

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Cyber crime sleuths arrested 2 Nigerians and 1 Indian at Bangalore for job fraud on Tuesday.

Working on the complaint of  Chatylapally Naveen, 23, who is an Engineering student residing at Malkajgiri was cheated by the accused to the tune of Rs 5.7 lakh, after he was asked to transfer money to different bank accounts under the guise of providing a job in Australia. 

The accused have been identified as Uchenna, 33, working as a business person and  Ekene Collins, 34, both of whom are Nigerian nationals staying in Bangalore. 

The complainant uploaded his resume on a private job portal, which was found by the accused, and later they called him offering a job in Australia, said Mahesh M Bhagwat, Commissioner of Rachakonda police. The accused created fake appointment letter and work permit visa. Uchenna, Ekene and Uzoma made different bank in the name of Afreen, and induced the complainant to deposit money towards his visa fee, travelling expenses and other documents and later disappeared.
