Tollywood director booked for drunk driving
Ravindra also accused of misbehaving with complainant after accident.
Hyderabad: A city resident named Harmender Singh has lodged a complaint in Jubliee hills police station against Tollywood director K.S. Ravindra who allegedly indulged in drunken driving and rash driving on May 20. The filmmaker, while on his way back from the birthday celebrations of Junior NTR, allegedly hit his car in a drunken state and picked up a quarrel with him said Mr Singh.
The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving. A notice will be sent to Mr Ravindra. Accor-ding to the complainant, the director was coming on the adjacent direction with a very high speed and as he was driving after consuming alchohol he had hit his car towards the left side of Harmen-der’s car where both his parents were sitting.
When Harmender’s questioned about the accidents he argued with him on the street and rushed away from the place without even apologizing. When he inquired he was informed that that the director was coming out from Junior NTR’s birthday celebrations.
Mr Harmender Singh whose car was hit by the director said, ‘’I lodged an FIR against K S Ravindra in Jubliee hills police station and I am waiting for an apology by the director. If he apologizes I will withdraw my case back’’.
Inspector Jubliee hills and Station House Officer P.Chandra Shekar told the newspaper, ‘’We have sent our team to his house the K S Ravindra is absconding from his house and the city and we are trying to trace his whereabouts. Once he is found we will serve him a notice. We have registered a case against him under section 297 IPC for rash and negligent driving’’.
