Case booked against Dimple Hayathi for damaging traffic DCP's official vehicle
HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police of Hyderabad city registered a case against actress Dimple Hayathi and her friend David, on charges of intentionally hitting the official vehicle of DCP Traffic I of Hyderabad city Rahul Hegde with her BMW vehicle and also kicking the vehicle.
The officer and the actress stay in the same apartment in Jubilee Hills. Meanwhile, Hegde is also accused of placing traffic cones and cement blocks used for regulating traffic on the roads in the parking area of the apartment.
Hegde told Deccan Chronicle that in the past too there were several instances, where she would park her vehicle blocking his vehicle’s path. “My staff informed her that our vehicle might have to leave at odd hours in case of any emergency and it would not be fair to disturb them at that time. As things did not change, I also spoke to her in person, but there was no change even after that,” he added.
Meanwhile, the actress took to twitter on Tuesday morning. “ Using power doesn’t stop any mistake. Misuse of power doesn’t hide mistakes. Satyamevajayate (Sic)” she wrote.
The complaint was lodged by Hegde’s official driver M Chetan Kumar, a police constable. In the complaint he said that the actress and her friend are deliberately blocking their path regularly. “
“We have requested them and informed their supervisor so many times not to repeat such things,” he said.
On May 14, her vehicle intentionally hit their official vehicle and the vehicle was damaged in the front portion, which was later confirmed from the CCTV footage.
Later in the day, her team released a statement on twitter. “Whatever is the ongoing issue, I understand the concern of my fans and media, and I thank everyone for your cooperation and support. I haven't given any official statements so far, hence, I would request you to wait patiently . Till then the concerned legal team shall revert back about the deal soon,” read the statement.
Her counsel Paul Satyanadhan said they would handle the issue legally. He also questioned why an IPS officer has to put up cones and cement blocks in the private area. “ How can one block a private space? That also has to be investigated,” he questioned.
Clarifying this, Hegde said after the actress and her friend started creating issues and blocking their vehicle, they set up cones and blocks to demarcate the parking area and the path. “ We started using them in the course of our duty, only after they started creating issues,” he added.
A notice under section 41A of the CrPC has been served to Dimple and her friend in the case on Monday. Jubilee hills police said the case is under investigation.
