Three officials land in ACB net

Visakhapatnam: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered Disproportionate Assets (DA) cases against two officials and caught a court clerk red-handed at three different locations in the state on Monday.

In the first case, ACB sleuths raided the residence and four other locations of executive engineer Rudraraju Ravi, who works at the panchayat raj institute in Chittoor. They found immovable assets in the form of land, residences, a kilogramme of gold, 12 kilogrammes of silver, and Rs 39 lakh in cash.

In the second case, officials raided the home of V. Sudhakar, an assistant executive engineer for the panchayat raj department, in Parvathipuram of Manyam district. Two home plots in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, unoccupied sites in Vizianagaram and Vijayawada, gold and silver jewellery, and Rs 20 lakh in a bank account were discovered.

The ACB squad also apprehended Minna Venkateswara Rao, senior assistant in the endowment department in Guntur while accepting Rs 5,000 from the complainant to file a counter-claim in court.
