Hyderabad: 12 women tie up staff, flee rescue home

Hyderabad: Twelve women who were rescued from immoral trafficking and were undergoing vocational training at a rescue home ran away after assaulting their trainers and tying them up in separate rooms at the home.
Police said Ujwala Home located in Padmavathi-nagar houses women who were arrested from various parts of the city. It also provides shelter and vocational training to rescued sex workers.
On Thursday around 12 women assaulted trainers Lalitha, Subbalakshmi, Santosha and Shobha, tied them up with ropes and locked them up in separate rooms and fled by jumping the wall.
Police found the women who ran away belonged to West Bengal. A case has been registered as per a complaint filed by home in- charge Anuradha. Special teams have been set up to trace the women.
