Hyderabad: Man gets life term for rape of daughter

Hyderabad: The First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court on Friday awarded a man rigorous life imprisonment for raping his daughter two years ago. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000. 

Khaja, was arrested by the police in September 2016 for sexually assaulting his 12-year-old daughter at his wife’s house as she had divorced him due to his frequent harassment. 

However, on September 24, 2016, the man went to his ex-wife’s house, locked his daughter in a room and sexually assaulted her. 

Following a complaint, the police registered a case under POCSO, Section 376 (f) (1) and 342 of Indian Penal Code.
