Kerala: ADGP Sudhesh Kumar daughter gave wrong information
The ADGP had said in a representation to the state police chief on Thursday that he was even facing threats.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In further embarrassment to ADGP Sudhesh Kumar, the doctor of a private hospital in the city said that the ADGP's daughter had taken treatment citing that she was knocked by an autorickshaw. The doctor also said that there were not much injuries on her. The fresh development would be a setback to the IPS officer as her daughter had alleged in a petition to the police that the ADGP's driver A. Gavasker tried to hit her with the car and even drove the car over her leg. She also alleged of attempts to outrage her modesty.
Meanwhile, the Peroorkada police registered a case on Thursday on the basis of a petition of ADGP Sudhesh Kumar that some unidentified persons pelted stones at his dog at his house near Kuravankonam. The ADGP had said in a representation to the state police chief on Thursday that he was even facing threats. Hence, police patrolling at his house would be enhanced.
According to sources, it was after the ADGP's driver came out with the complaint of assault against the ADGP's daughter that the later went to the private hospital. The hospital records that were already collected by the police also show that she had reported that she was hit by an autorickshaw. The doctor also told police that she refused to undergo x-ray examination.
It may be recalled that the state police chief Loknath Behera had earlier told the media that if the ADGP's daughter's complaint against the police driver was found to be false, action would be taken against her for the false petition. Meanwhile, the ADGP was learnt to be exploring legal options of filing an anticipatory bail petition at the High Court. Gavaskar has already moved the Court and the Court also directed the Crime Branch team probing the case not to arrest him.
