2011 Malayalam actor kidnap bid car seized
Kochi city police has seized the van used by the gang.
Kochi: The Kochi city police probing the abduction of an actress in 2011 by Pulsar Suni has seized the van used by the gang. The central police found the vehicle from a Madavana native, near Kochi. "They hired the van for a day from a Kakkanad native and after the failed rape attempt, the van was handed over to the owner," said central CI A. Ananthalal. The police ruled out any role by the vehicle owner in the case. The accused hired the vehicle in 2011 and it was sold to another person later. The vehicle would be produced before the court. There were reports that the van was sent to scrap dealers so as to destroy evidence. The police may take the accused to Thiruvananthapuram for an identification parade. Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Ernakulam, is considering the case.
According to police, Suneesh of Kannur arranged the vehicle for Pulsar Suni and team. Chavakkadu native Asharaf, Sudheesh of Payyannur, Ebin Kuriakose of Kunnathunadu and Bibin V. Paul of Mazhuvannur are the accused, who were questioned on Saturday. They will be produced before the court on Monday.
