Hyderabad: Notorious rowdy held under PD act
Malkajgiri cops arrested Pappu a week ago and recovered gold rings and a Royal Enfield bike.
Hyderabad: Notorious rowdy sheeter and burglar Mohammed Akram alias Pappu was detained under the PD Act by Rachakonda police. Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat issued the detention orders on Saturday. This is the second time Pappu is being detained under the PD Act.
Malkajgiri police arrested Pappu a week ago and recovered from him gold rings and a Royal Enfield bike which he had stolen from the neighbourhood. His crime history dates back to 1997 when he committed as many as 39 different types of offences. He was detained under the PD Act in 2016 and was released three months ago.
After release, he committed three more crimes in the last three months. Based on his crime record and the threat involved to the people of Malkajgiri detention orders were invoked against him. The orders were served to him at the Cherlapally central prison where he is under remand now.
