Quack arrested with fake certificate gang
The accused, Kudiletti Vijay Kumar, had worked for six months at Life Care Hospital, Uppal, during the Covid lockdown
Hyderabad: The LB Nagar Special Operations Teams (SOT) along with the Meerpet police on Friday arrested a fake doctor whose statement led them to a duo that provided him the fake papers.
The accused, Kudiletti Vijay Kumar, had worked for six months at Life Care Hospital, Uppal, during the Covid lockdown, earning Rs 60,000 per month, and had shifted to RK Hospital at Mallamma crossroads, police said. Kumar was previously a compounder and had worked in public relations units of different hospitals, said Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat.
Based Kumar’s statement, police arrested Mahboob Ali Junaid, 38, and Afroz Khan, 42, who had in their possession a fake MBBS certificate, two fake certificates of achievement, and fake digital stamps in the name of ’Dr Vijay Kumar M.D.,’ fake ID card, visiting cards, stethoscope, two passports etc.
Junaid and Khan provided a fake MBBS certificate of Kazan State Medical University of Russia to Kumar for Rs 6.5 lakh, police said. Junaid downloaded the format of MBBS certificates from Google.
