Visakhapatnam: In a bizarre incident, a 62-year-old retired government official was arrested for allegedly having sex with a cow in Vizianagaram. The incident captured on a video went viral in the social media, leading to his arrest.

The incident took place at Kancharam village under Rajam rural police station limits a few days ago.

Inspector of Police, Naveen Kumar identified the man as P Ramakrishna, who had worked as assistant director of the AP Lands and Survey department. “Investigation revealed that Ramakrishna has been habitually involved in having unnatural sex with cows and pet dogs for the past few years,” he said.

Though the relatives of the accused and villagers knew about this, they kept quiet but kept a distance from him.

“We observed that Ramakrishna is physically and mentally well. But we don’t know why he indulged in this unnatural behaviour. He was arrested and sent to judicial remand,” police said.

A case has been registered against the man under Section 377 of IPC (whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with human or animal shall be punished) and relevant sections dealing with cruelty against the animal.
