Kurnool: A man named Shaik Abdullah died by suicide in Kurnool, on Tuesday. He had been linked to the Popular Front of India (PFI) and had been summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) twice for questioning.

Abdullah's wife, Rafia, said that her husband had been associated with the PFI in the past, but that he had not been active in the organisation for several years. She said that he was summoned by the NIA for questioning about his alleged links to the PFI.

On August 21, Abdullah received another summons from the NIA, asking him to appear in Hyderabad for further questioning. Rafia said that her husband was distressed by the summons and that he had told her that he was afraid of being arrested.

On Tuesday, Abdullah was found dead at his home. Rafia filed a complaint with the Kurnool I Town Police. A case has been registered and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
