BBMP man shamed over misbehaviour
The police said they had no information regarding the assault on Joint Commissioner at Mahadevapura BBMP office.
BENGALURU: BBMP Joint Commissioner (Mahadevapura zone), Muniverappa, was shamed in public after he was allegedly assaulted by a woman who accused him of misbehavior in his office on Saturday .
Though the jurisdictional police said that they are not aware of any such incident, a short video of the incident is making rounds on WhatsApp. The incident came to light on Saturday after the 45-second long video surfaced. In the video a woman, who is said to be a domestic helper of Muniverappa, is seen assaulting the officer with a chappal.
The police said they had no information regarding the assault on Joint Commissioner at Mahadevapura BBMP office. “The police have not received any complaint from anyone in this regard. If anyone approaches us we will register a case and act accordingly. So far we are not aware of any such incident,” said a police officer.
BWSSB warns against fraudsters
BWSSB has appealed to the public not to pay water or sanitary connection/ bill charges in cash to anybody as it has come to notice of the board that some people were collecting application form and fee amount in cash from the public under the pretext of getting them sanction for water and sanitary connection.
It is informed to the public that the Board is not receiving any such fee in cash and requested not to yield to such fraudulent elements. Those who want to get new water and sanitary connection can download the prescribed application from the BWSSB website bwssb.gov.in and submit the duly filled application, along with necessary documents, either through authorized plumber or directly to the concerned sub-division office and avail acknowledgment. After spot inspection, Board officials will issue demand note, based on which a demand draft needs to be submitted in the name of Chairman BWSSB.
