Tirupati: Additional Sub-Court judge ends life
High Court had suspended addl civil judge 6 months ago.
TIRUPATI: An Additional Senior Civil Judge has committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Vidya Nagar in Tirupati on Wednesday. P. V. Sadananda Murthy, 56, was working at Tirupati Additional Sub-Court. The High Court had suspended him six months back on charges of misusing his powers. He was later transferred to a vacant reserve.
Sadananda Murthy was a native of Machilipatnam in Krishna district. He was residing at Vidya Nagar in Tirupati along with his wife and mother. In the morning, he told his wife that he was going upstairs to take a bath. When he did not return for a long time, his wife went to check and realised that the bedroom door was locked from inside and he was not answering her calls. His wife then called the neighbours and they broke opened the door. Murthy was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
M. R. Palle police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Government Hospital for post mortem. The police has registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC and are investigating into the case.
