Hyderabad: Man sets wife, four of family ablaze
Kukunurpally police said the man Lakshmirajyam frequently quarrelled with his wife Vimala.
Hyderabad: Five members of a family sustained severe burns when a man poured petrol over them and set them ablaze at Khammampally village in Siddipet district on Thursday night.
Kukunurpally police said the man Lakshmirajyam frequently quarrelled with his wife Vimala. As a result, Vimala, along with her two sons, left him and for the last nine years was staying with her brother Raju and mother at Khammampally village.
Lakshmirajyam reached the house of Raju on Thursday and picked up a quarrel with Vimala. He then poured petrol over Vimala, his two sons, Raju and his wife Sunitha, set them ablaze, and ran away.
Neighbours informed the police who rushed the five to Siddipet area hospital. They were later shifted to the Gandhi hospital at Hyderabad. Police have booked an attempt-to-murder case against him.
