Hyderabad: Retired staff dupes job aspirants

Hyderabad: A retired assistant divisional engineer of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd was arrested by the Hyderabad city police for cheating job aspirants on the pretext of facilitating junior linemen jobs.  

The accused, Gokul Shyam Sundhar, 67, retired as an ADE with the TSSPDCL in 2012 while working at Mamidipally in Ranga Reddy district, and was living at Moosarambagh. As his pension amount was not sufficient, Sundhar hatched a plan to dupe job aspirants.

Recently, the TSSPDCL issued a job notification to fill vacancies in various posts, including junior linemen. He boasted that with his contacts in TSSPDCL, he could get jobs for Rs 3 lakh.
