Kurnool: Two teachers from the MPP school in Pedda Harivanam village, Adoni mandal, have been suspended following the tragic drowning incident of two students on November 20. The deceased students, Manjunath and Akbar Ali, both aged 10 and in the fourth standard, were reportedly playing near a summer storage tank in the village when they fell into the water and drowned.

The mandal educational officer in Adoni, Sivaramulu, announced the suspension of the school's in-charge headmaster, T. Rajyalakshmi, and teacher B. Manohar.

The suspension orders, issued by district educational officer Dr Venkata Rangareddy, cite negligence in attending to the students as the reason for the suspension.
