Hyderabad: Crop failure forced another cotton farmer to end his life in Nalgonda district. Ramavath Matriya, 38, consumed pesticide at his field on Thursday. Matriya hailing from Ramannagudem tanda in Tungaturthi in Peddapur mandal in the district, owned a four-acre parcel of agricultural land in the village, where he was cultivating cotton. He took five more acres on lease and cultivated cotton, which failed. The burden of the debts borrowed for investing on the seeds and pesticides increased.
