Teacher Suspended for Misbehaving With Students in Vinukonda
Vijayawada: A government school teacher in Vinukonda, Palnadu district, has been suspended after allegations of misbehaving with several girl students surfaced.
The incident came to light during a "Good Touch - Bad Touch" programme conducted by an education officer at the school. According to reports, Saidulu, a social teacher at the Mandal Parishad Primary School, had been inappropriately touching and interacting with girls from the school's social welfare hostel for six months.
Fearing repercussions, the students remained silent until a recent awareness session on child safety empowered them to speak up. The social welfare officer, upon learning of the abuse, promptly reported it to the mandal education officer, Zafrullah.
Following an investigation involving interviews with teachers and students, Zafrullah temporarily transferred Saidulu and recommended further action to the District Education Officer (DEO).
Acting on these recommendations, DEO Samuel directed Savalyapuram MEO Sambasiva Rao to conduct a thorough inquiry. Rao's investigation concluded on Wednesday, and based on the findings, Saidulu was promptly suspended from his position.
