Bengaluru: Man attacks sister's bf with weapons, held
The accused, Rajesh alias Soma, is a resident of Dasarahalli, while the injured, Manjunath, is a bus driver with a private school.
Bengaluru: Bagalagunte police arrested a 25-year-old man for attacking his sister's boyfriend with lethal weapons. However, his accomplice is still on the run and police are searching for him.
The accused, Rajesh alias Soma, is a resident of Dasarahalli, while the injured, Manjunath, is a bus driver with a private school.
Manjunath was in a relationship with Rajesh’s sister over the past few months and Rajesh had warned Manjunath to stay away from his sister. But Manjunath continued to meet her even after receiving several warnings from Rajesh.
On Tuesday night, Manjunath was in a bakery at Dasarahalli when Rajesh along with his friends attacked him with lethal weapons and fled from the scene. Passersby rushed Manjunath to a nearby hospital where he is being treated and said to be out of danger.
The police said they tracked Rajesh with the help of CCTV footage from the bakery and arrested him. The Bagalagunte police have registered a case and are are on the lookout for the other accused.
