Three armed men attack wine shop staff, take away Rs 2 lakh cash

Hyderabad: Three unidentified masked men, armed with fire arms and sticks, attacked the staff of a wine shop and looted Rs 2 lakh cash from them at Uddamarri village under Shameerpet police limits of Cyberabad commissionerate, on Hyderabad outskirts, late on Monday night. 

The incident happened when the staff closed the shop for the day and were heading out with the day's collection. A few meters from their shop, the suspects riding a bike, intercepted the staff and attacked them.

Police said one of the staff snatched a stick from the suspects and retaliated but the suspects attacked them and snatched the cash bag and sped sway on the same bike.

While it is reported that the suspects fired at the staff, but they escaped unhurt, police said the shots were fired in the air while escaping. A country-made fire arm could have been used in the offence, the police said.
