Hyderabad: Principals held for faking papers
The principals collected Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 from each candidate and paid Habeeb Rs 10,000 per certificate, says Mr Rao.
Hyderabad: Two school principals were arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone and the Bahadurpura police for a fake educational certificates and documents.
Police said accused Mohammed Roshan was headmaster of Polite School, Tadbund, Kalapathar and Crescent High School, Hafeezbababagar. His friend H. Mohd Rafeeq Mohiuddin was principal of Sun Shine High School, Sulemannagar, Attapur, and in charge of Bilal Model High School, Bilalnagar, Kalapathar.
Task Force DCP P. Radha Kishan Rao said, “Roshan came into contact with one Mohd. Habeeb of Bazaarghat who use to provide fake educational certificates of various universities and educational boards.
“They hatched a plan to provide fake certificates of the National Institute of Open Schooling to failed SSC and Intermediate candidates.”
The principals collected Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 from each candidate and paid Habeeb Rs 10,000 per certificate. Mr Rao said.
Habeeb allegedly created a fake website of the NIOS to help Roshan and Mohiuddin make people believe that the certificates were genuine.
The duo used to provide the certificates without conducting any exam.
The two accused along with seized material were handed over to the Bahadurpura police.
