Dalit youth killed for peeing on empty plot in Uttar Pradesh

Six persons have been injured in the incident that took place in the Fatehpur village in Saharanpur district.

Lucknow: In a caste clash in Saharanpur on Friday night, a Dalit youth was  shot dead for urinating on a plot owned by upper caste members. Six persons have been injured in the incident that took place in the Fatehpur village in Saharanpur district.

According to reports, Narendra, a 20-year-old Dalit youth, was urinating on an empty plot owned by upper caste members when members of the family, namely Surendra, Mohan Joni and Pankaj reached there and started and started abusing the Dalit youth with  casteist references.

The Dalit youth’s father, Ram Sharan, on hearing the commotion, also reached there and  tried to save his son but he was also beaten up. When other people collected, the four accused said that Narendra had stolen their motor pump.

As the four accused continued to beat Narendra, Joni took out his gun and shot the him in the stomach. Narendra died on the spot and angry locals kept his body on a tractor trolley and blocked the main highway.
