Hyderabad: Three minors arrested for stealing mobile phone

Based on a complaint, a case was booked against the trio under Section 392 (robbery).

Hyderabad: Begumpet police arrested three minors for stealing a mobile phone on Tuesday. Police said the trio, aged 17, were friends and stole the mobile phone to raise funds to repair a bike which they had damaged accidentally near Dulapally in the city.. 

“The bike belonged to the father of one of the three teenagers. They took the bike out in the wee hours of May 11 and while roaming they damaged the bike. Fearing that his father might scold him, the teen gathered the other two and hatched a plan to steal a phone,” said Begumpet ACP S. Ranga Rao. 

“They grabbed a costly mobile phone from a woman who was on her morning walk near Mahalakshmi Apart-ments in Begumpet on May 12,” added the ACP.

Based on a complaint, a case was booked against the trio under Section 392 (robbery). On Tuesday, Begumpet police across the Crime Team and apprehended the gang and seized the mobile phone and bike from their possession.
