The employees, Deepu Cherian, K.K. Sajan,  P.V. Vinodan and Dineshan, climbed atop the Rubber Board office demanding that they  should be reinstated.

‘Centre is vengeful towards farmers’

BJP is vengeful towards farmers because the party has failed to make any political impact in the state, KPCC president M.M. Hassan alleged here on Tuesday. He was inaugurating the rubber board office blockade organised by Kottayam DCC in front of the board's head office. "Such vengeance is the identity of autocrats," he alleged, adding that the Central government was trying to lease out the country to corporate groups. "The rubber farmers are facing injustice since the government has stopped all welfare schemes that used to benefit them," he said.  DCC president Joshy Philip presided over the function.
