Special child beats twins at school in Madanapalle for disabled
The twins, Siddiqui and Shaukat Ali, aged 14, have been students of the Velugu Special School in Madanapalle.
TIRUPATI: Mentally challenged twins, who are also mute, were allegedly beaten up in a disability school in Madanapalle on Saturday, leaving red welts on their bodies. The issue came out after the twins were shifted to local government hospital for treatment.
The twins, Siddiqui and Shaukat Ali, aged 14, have been students of the Velugu Special School in Madanapalle.
On Saturday, the school management informed the boys’ parents that another student, a minor, had beaten the twins. The parents rushed to the school. The twins’ fath-er, Mr Shamsher Basha, questioned school secretary Udaya Mohan Reddy, stating that the injuries showed that they were not beaten by other students.
Mr Basha said, “We were convinced by the reply given by the management. We came to know that another boy had beaten them. That boy is also mentally challenged, and that is why we have not approached the police.”
