Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man hanged himself on Sunday afternoon at his residence in Musheerabad. According to sub-inspector of Musheerabad police station K. Rama Rao, E. Babu Rao was unhappy with his married life. “Babu Rao worked as an almirah maker and was staying alone for the past four years at Parsigutta, while his wife and children stayed in Somajiguda. He was depressed and committed suicide by hanging himself at about 3 pm,” said the official.
The official added that there was no suicide note. Shiva Rao, Babu Rao's brother said that the couple were having arguments and fights due to his alcohol addiction. “Babu would drink often and his wife did not like that. The couple were counselled by cops a few times, but Babu Rao did not change. He has attempted suicide in the past after his wife left him,” said the brother.
A case has been registered at the Musheerabad police station under Section 174 of CrPC and the body was sent for postmortem examination at Gandhi Hospital.
