Man Duped of Rs.14 lakh by Cyber crooks

Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters duped a pharma employee of Rs. 14 lakh after offering him increasing sums of money that he could not withdraw unless he recharged his account with them, according to the Cyber crime wing of Cyberabad police which has started an investigation.

The 37-year-old victim from Kukatpally, received a text message from an unknown number asking him to click on a link given in the message for a part-time job. On clicking, he was directed to a chat window with display name “task reception”. He again received another link to a shopping website.

The victim registered himself and placed an order for products worth 100.
