Telangana: Case on qazi after man ditches wife
The Hussainialam police on Monday registered a case against an NRI for divorcing his wife through an advertisement.
HYDERABAD: The Hussainialam police on Monday registered a case against an NRI for divorcing his wife through an advertisement in a vernacular newspaper. Mohammed Manaziruddin, the accused, is a resident of London who married a 24-year-old resident of Noor Khan Bazaar in Septem-ber 2015.
“Manaziruddin promised to take me to London, but he never did. After the marriage, he came to India twice and was in touch with me until this July. I found out that he had placed an advertisement for divorce in May without telling me about it,” the victim told the police. The woman, who is pursuing her graduation through a distance education programme, is distraught.
Deputy commissioner of police, (South zone) V. Satyanarayana said that a case of cheating has been registered against the Qazi of Shahalibanda, advocate Shakeel, and Manaziruddin’s family.
