Hyderabad: PD act invoked on 25-year-old

The Preventive Detention Order was invoked on him on November 19.

The state police is exercising the provisions of the PD Act against criminals involved in multiple cases to keep them under detention and prevent offences.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar, issued PD Orders against a 25-year-old rowdy in the Rein Bazaar police station limits.

The man, identified as Shaik Wajeed alias Abbu, 25, a resident of Errakunta was involved in hurting and extorting from the public to make easy money and lead a lavish life, said the police commissioner. 

He has committed three offences in Hyderabad Commissionerate and has been creating large scale fear and panic among the public, thereby disturbing the peace in the society. The Rein Bazaar police arrested Shaik Wajeed on August 28 and he was remanded to judicial custody. 

The Preventive Detention Order was invoked on him on November 19, and he has been lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
