Teen Killed Following Tiff Over Cricket

Anantapur: A 14-year-old boy was killed after he was attacked by another player over a petty issue while playing cricket in Zakeer Hussainnagar of Nellore on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Farheed. According to police, Farheed, along with a 16-year-old and others from the same area went to play cricket near locality.

During the game, there were heated arguments between the victim and the 16-year-old, leading to an altercation. The former allegedly attacked the victim on his chest and head, who collapsed on the spot. The other players informed his parents.

Farheed was immediately rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The police shifted the body to the government general hospital.

Circle inspector M. Bobby stated that a case was registered based on the complaint received from the kin of the victim.
