Kochi: ‘Pulsar’ Suni and his accomplice Vijesh, the key accused in the assault on the film actor,  were  remanded in 14-days’ judicial custody by  the Aluva  First Class Judicial Magistrate on Friday.   The court  will consider the demand of the Special Investigation Team for the duo’s 10-day police custody on Saturday. They were produced before the magistrate by 2.40 p.m. amid tight security and the proceedings lasted half-an-hour. Both Suni and Vijesh were sent to the Kakkanad district jail after the cops requested that they should not be sent to Aluva sub-jail where the other three accused are lodged.

The police submitted a request to allow the custody of the duo for ten days for interrogation on the conspiracy of the crime and also to recover the  mobile phone which contains the videos of the actor who was abducted and sexually harassed. The cops have taken possession of three mobile phones used by Suni.  But the one which was used during the crime is  yet to be recovered.

The magistrate said the plea for their police custody will be considered only on Saturday as the cops had delayed the filing of the custody application and medical report. Earlier,  Suni remained cool while the cops produced him before the magistrate and even replied in the negative when waiting media personnel asked him whether he was made a scapegoat.
