Paris Mohan Kumar submitted a complaint to police station on Friday morning.
WAYANAD: Land sharks destroy greenery and pressurise farmers in Wayanad to sell their land after threatening them with fake records, said eminent artist Paris Mohan Kumar. Mr Mohan Kumar had lost his 24 cents land in Korome under the Thondarnadu village office limits where he was growing trees as part of his dream mission. "A real estate dealer from Nadapuram got my land fenced with iron wires after presenting fake tax receipts," he alleged. Informed about the encroachment by some local farmers, Mr Mohan Kumar reached the spot on Friday.
He lamented that the land was encroached, as he did not sell the land to the real estate group. "They want to expand the land by attaching the properties of some local farmers who are being regularly threatened by the group", he added. "They have been destroying the ecosystem and also threatening the farmers with dire consequences if they refuse to sell the land", he added. Paris Mohan Kumar submitted a complaint to police station on Friday morning. Meanwhile the Thondarnadu village officials expressed ignorance about the incident, saying that they will inquire into the incident. Paris Mohan Kumar will be submitting a complaint to district collector B.S. Tirumeni on Saturday.
