Narayanguda SHO suspended over rampant hookah practice

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand suspended Narayanguda station house officer (SHO) R. Srinivas Reddy for dereliction of duty and negligence in acting against illegal activities.

Sources said that hookah parlours were found to be operating in the area and that the area police were deemed to be not proactive enough in curbing the illegal practice.

Subsequently, an inquiry was conducted, following which Anand issued the suspension order on Sunday.
