No bail for suicide-blast accused: Hyderabad High court
Considering the arguments of the prosecutor, the judge dismissed the bail plea.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday rejected the bail petition by Nafisul Biswas, one of the key accused in the Begumpet Task Force office bomb blast case.
The suicide attack took place on October 12, 2005 in which two persons, including a home guard, were killed. Mahmood Baroodwala, another accused in the case, is already enlarged on bail.
When the bail petition of Biswas came up for hearing before Justice Raja Elango, TS additional public prosecutor D. Rami Reddy opposed it saying that the petitioner played a key role along with Ghulam Yazdani, Bilal and Abdul Kaleem in bringing one Dalin, the suicide bomber, from Bangladesh.
He said Yazdani and others, who conspired for bomb blasts in the country, were killed in police encounters and some other accused involved in the case were still absconding. Biswas, a native of West Bengal, has contacts with various terrorist organisations and his release will cause a law and problem in the country, Mr Reddy said. He added that there was a chance of the witnesses in the case being threatened as the probe was in a crucial stage.
Considering the arguments of the prosecutor, the judge dismissed the bail plea.
